About Surgical Research Labs
Testing Devices, Diagnostic Tools
The Surgical Research Laboratories at Tufts Medical Center is available to conduct almost any mammalian test you can devise – from murine to porcine – short-term or long-term.
In addition to our three, fully equipped, large-animal operating rooms (one with video conferencing capability), we offer brand new, state-of-the-art animal care facilities. Further, we boast very experienced veterinary and animal experimentation staff.
Perhaps our most important features relate to cost and turnaround. We offer a single, low, hourly rate with no overhead charges. Plus, we have streamlined the contracting process for proof-of-concept or prototype studies. In addition, we are assured of rapid proposal turnaround by our animal welfare committee, so projects are reviewed much quicker than with most testing services.
We expect to be fully certified as a GLP testing facility, one of only a few in Eastern Massachusetts, and likely the only independent lab readily available.
It all adds up. And there are many pluses to working with an academic facility in the heart of Boston. Here you can develop your ideas with help from our entire surgical faculty, and take advantage of both flexible pricing and rapid contracting.
Call us to discuss your needs or for the particulars of submitting a proposal. Contact either George Perides, PhD, Director of the Surgical Research Laboratories, 617-636-7093 or Mary Boucher-Fisher, Administrator, 617-636-5613.
